IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CUSTOMERS WHO CHOOSE TO PAY BY PAYPAL:  PayPal’s customer protection facility dictates that, if a dispute should arise over non-delivery, I the seller MUST produce EVIDENCE OF POSTING in every instance and regardless of circumstances or prior written agreements with the purchaser;  unfortunately this required evidence of posting can only be secured through the registered mail service, or through an even more costly  “tracked” courier service – for an item possibly costing as little as 99p or €1?

I am genuinely sorry, and will no doubt suffer a significant loss of trade as a result, but I no longer offer STANDARD POSTAGE to those PAYING BY PAYPAL.  Please note, this restriction applies ONLY TO PAYPAL and not to ANY OTHER METHOD OF PAYMENT.

Therefore if you are considering bidding from a country where you have no options other than to use PayPal for payment, please determine whether the outlay on registered mail is acceptable or REFRAIN FROM BIDDING.  Until Ebay (PayPal) comes up with a solution more acceptable to both buyers AND sellers I regrettably CANNOT MAKE ANY EXCEPTIONS: the simple fact is that the evidence of posting which PayPal insists on comes at a price!

CHOOSE TO PAY BY EURO BANK TRANSFER (SEPA-BANKÜBERWEISUNG) AND I CAN SHIP TO YOU BY STANDARD ECONOMY MAIL FOR JUST €0.80 – PLEASE EMAIL ME BEFORE PAYMENT AND I WILL ADJUST YOUR INVOICE ACCORDINGLY

RHODESIA      1910       “DOUBLE HEAD”  1d RED       SG123         MINT LIGHTLY HINGED        CAT IN UK: £29.00

With no tears or toning but there is a tiny thin in the queen’s crown due to loss of gum in that area.  A clean back with light hingemark (see scans – front and reverse -- of actual stamp).

Postage to UK and Europe by registered mail = €3.65 (up to 20gms), €4.95 (21-75gms).  If you are a winning bidder from a EUROPEAN country and your invoice shows postage of €4.55, please note THIS IS INCORRECT – it should be only €3.65 as quoted above, so please wait for my manual invoice before paying.

Postage to Rest of World by registered mail = €4.55 (up to 20gms), €5.60 (21-75gms).

Stamp will be mailed ADEQUATELY PROTECTED on a stock card with cellophane flap.  Multiple purchases will, wherever possible, be grouped together and subject to only one postage charge providing weight limit of 20g is thereby not exceeded.  As a general guidance I can usually combine up to ca. 40 stamps without breaching the 20g weight limit.  For packages above 20g slightly higher rates apply.    If you bid for and win more than one of my auctions, please bear in mind that any invoice which Ebay generates automatically will almost certainly include an inflated or even a multiple postal charge.   RATHER THAN USING EBAY’S AUTOMATIC CHECKOUT FACILITY, THEREFORE, PLEASE WAIT FOR MY MANUAL COMBINED INVOICE WHICH I WILL SEND YOU ONCE MY LAST AUCTION OF THE SESSION HAS FINISHED as only this will reflect any discount due on postage.  Whilst I am perfectly happy to refund any excess postage paid in error, the amount refunded will be net of any fees I may be charged by PayPal relating to such overpayment.  PLEASE THEREFORE DO NOT PAY ME MORE THAN I AM DUE!

BUY WITH CONFIDENCE -- see my feedback for other quality stamps already sold.

Paypal payment accepted.  Payment from the UK also welcomed by BANK CREDIT TRANSFER (please ask for account details) or by STERLING CHEQUE drawn on a UK mainland bank, however there will be the usual delay until the cheque has cleared.  If paying from a Euro country, please consider payment by bank transfer (Überweisung) under the SEPA-method as an alternative to PayPal;  IBAN and BIC details are lodged with Ebay. Where applicable, all bank charges, customs and import duties, etc., to be borne by the purchaser.

As per usual, buyer pays the shipping/postal charges, seller bears the Ebay and PayPal fees.   Wishing you the best of luck with your bid!
