Up for sale here is this vintage Rheem-Califone 3200 stereo tube amplifier, probably made by Akai/Roberts.  This was removed from a reel-to-reel player.  It normally uses two 6BM8 output tubes, a 6CA4 rectifier tube, a 12AT7 tube, and two 12AX7 tubes, but the tubes are not included.  I tested this and it does play out of both channels but will need rebuilding.  There was a fair amount of background noise that I'm sure you could eliminate by cleaning up the circuit and recapping.  The RCA jacks on top are for the tape heads, so they are VERY sensitive and will not work as normal RCA inputs for a CD player or whatever.  The front Mic inputs do work as line-level inputs but will need Deoxit--there's some oxidation on the jacks so they cut in and out.

I tested this using the front mic inputs and using the wires coming out of the top as speaker connectors, but there are also speaker outputs on the back with 1/4" jacks.  I tried the RCA inputs on the back but could not get those to work.  This is a really nice little amp, and has some nice parts in it.  This was built by Roberts/Akai back in the early to mid-1960s.  This has some nice parts in it, including the two volume potentiometers, which are "D" shaft CTS 250k pots with 1964 date codes.  Those are really nice for guitar use.

This does not have a bottom or top cover.  The large toggle switch on the right is the power switch.  I do not know what the tiny switch under it is for--I think it was added by a previous owner.  The orange light above the power switch is the "record" light and does not go on normally, though I'm sure you could rewire it as a power light fairly easily.

This would make a nice little single-ended amplifier for a sensitive pair of speakers, or you could use it as a guitar amp.  However, this amplifier will need to be rebuilt in order to work properly.  It is sold as NON-WORKING, for rebuilding, and is NOT plug-and-play.  Please see my pictures for details.
