The console does not have any internal / built-in battery which can be 'charged'.

 Condition/Information:~
Console is in very good , clean, tested condition.
 Casing:~ Light surface marks/wear on the black bezel surround, battery covers and back lower edges.
Screen:~ Very good, clear, responsive condition. 
Pen:~ Light wear at the tip.
Case:~ New in Packaging.

The LeapPad has been cleared of all previous owner's data and a temproary name entered on the console. 
This name, together with the background wallpaper can easily be changed to one of your choice.
