The 2009 Silver Kookaburra features a kookaburra perched on a tree branch, design by Darryl Bellotti, also present is a special mintmark P20 signifying the twentieth year of the Kookaburra coin that has been available from the Perth Mint. The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse. Each Silver Kookaburra coin comes in a plastic capsule.
