An attractive Vintage gold 2-Coin Half-Sovereign Necklace, with two genuine coins, one from 1912 and the other from the millennium year 2000, both beautifully set in a 9 carat gold mount to protect them. The price includes a 9 carat gold fine Marine link style Chain, overall length 16”, (2.5mm width) which ideally complements the overall appearance.

The Half Sovereign is a British coin and was introduced originally in 1544, survived for 60 years and then was discontinued until 1817 when the modern half-sovereign was introduced. Traditionally made from 22ct gold the coin has the monarch’s head on one side and the iconic image of Saint George slaying the Dragon on the reverse. The face value of a Half Sovereign is half that of a full Sovereign, a value equal to half a pound sterling (50p), however the last year when the half gold coin was issued for normal circulation was in 1926 and its present value is now many times more than its face value !!

All of our items are termed as “Used” because they are not bought as new for resale, they have been acquired by us over a number of years and being pre-owned they each have a unique history. Every item is carefully restored by our workshops to allow us to present them in pristine condition for your enjoyment.

Postage

We operate a secure postal service for all of our items, using only signed-for/recorded delivery with appropriate insurance where necessary. We will post your item out only on receipt of cleared funds, and only on weekdays Monday to Friday. All of our items are carefully and securely packaged, and sent using a secure national postal service, so we cannot be responsible for any items missing or damaged in transit. Please contact us, as a matter of urgency if this is the case and we will investigate fully how it could happen, and attempt to resolve it for you.

Returns

If your purchase fails to match our description or your expectations, and you notify us of this by e-mail or other written correspondence within 30 days of delivery, we will be happy to provide a full refund of the purchase price (not postage) within 3 days of us receiving the item. (note that any evidence of tampering, altering or adjusting will invalidate the refund offer)
