However, they have all been touched up, with some matching paint. There are two moderate tears in the tolex, but one is on the bottom back edge, and the other is on the back side, so you don't see them form the front. The combination lock does not work and the latch for it, is missing, but the locks are always listed on eBay. The latch bar for the very bottom hasp, is missing. Otherwise, all of the hardware is intact. The case will stay securely closed, so your guitar will be protected. The plush pink interior is still in great shape and it looks very nice. The matching pink satin shroud is also still intact and it looks nice too. Two of three tabs that hold the shroud in place are attached and one has come loose. There's an accessory pocket for your extra strings capo picks strap and tuner etc. The lid for it works fine and the small pull tab is still intact. All of the small metal feet are still in place. This listing is for a very rare factory original Gibson USA Hard Shell guitar case. As you can see, it looks like a standard Les Paul guitar case, but this one is longer so it will work with the Les Paul Bass. TKL made these cases in the 1990's for Gibson and the quality is unsurpassed. The cases only came with the Les Paul Bass guitars and they almost always stay with the guitars, so the cases rarely come up for sale. You can't even special order a Les Paul Bass case from Gibson, at any price, but here's your chance to grab one. Like any used 20 year old vintage case, this one is not perfect, but it's still in pretty good condition, especially for being this old. The case also has a symmetrical body shape so it will also work with a right hand or left handed Gibson or Epiphone Les Paul bass. Some of the Hofner Bass guitars will also fit, but please compare these measurements, with your bass guitar, to make sure it will work. These are the approximate inside dimensions between the pads, which will give a little. The lower bout is 13" wide The upper bout is 9-1/4" wide The waist is 8-3/4" wide The overall length is 46-5/8" plus there's a 1/2" pocket at the bottom for the lower strap pin. The depth is 3-1/2" and there's another 1" or so in the lid. If you have a Gibson Les Paul Bass, you really need the factory original case, to maintain the maximum value and collect ability of your instrument.
