Every single weight on the scale is working on the dial my friend you just need to experiment with sample weights of your own and mark the rest of the weights in between the marked weights on the dial because there are too many weights and not enough room for us to mark every single weight for you.
Next question: Can I search for targets of all sizes without using the weight discrimination dial on the device without losing any power from the batteries voltage? Is this possible with the TFR-4 Locator?
Answers: Yes,you can search for all targets at once regardless of their weight or size by switching over to the "Direct Voltage Mode". Tested TFR-4 rod range today with 4g gold in chamber, and 2 gold rings as target.
Put rod cable in "Direct Voltage" mode and went out 1000ft, Rod searched and found target
with ease. Pretty neat system, next target range was 1500ft. No problem with the
TFR-4 picking up target. Gold in chamber finds gold target. When closer to target
change plug to "Conduit Connector" Discrimination Mode and dial in your signal.
Next test was to place steel as target and gold in chamber. The rod had no direction
when asked to find steel target. Ok now I change and place steel into the sample chamber, straight away there was
a reaction on the steel target when the rod was searching . Gold in the chamber will find gold only. Steel metals in chamber
will find steel only.

Field tested the TFR-4 rod today. Placed 4g gold nugget
in chamber and then placed 2 gold rings in a plastic cup then selected " Direct Voltage".
First test at 300ft TFR-4 rod picked it up straight away.
I turn around 360 degrees and the rod swung back in the right direction.
As you walk closer to the target you can box in the target.
When over target the rod rotates. Second test was at 600 ft. worked exactly the same.
Tested also in windy conditions, no problems and very stable.
The TFR-4 rod worked exactly as described on your You tube video clips and CD's.Thank you for such an amazing device!

I want to Thank John and his company for the great customer service on the TFR-1 Treasure Finding Rod. I am including some pictures of some (not all) of my finds as I have used the TFR-1 rod to find close to an ounce of gold nuggets and a few meteorites on several weekend prospecting trips over the last 6 months. I am in the Southwest Arizona desert here in an area near Wickenburg where there are a lot of hot rocks and heavy mineralization in the ground, but the TFR-1 rod avoids these minerals very efficiently and points me the way to where the gold is. I use the TFR-1 to locate where to start digging and walk slowly with it balanced and let the rod point me where to go. This TFR-1 locator goes much deeper than the standard detectors do and it will guide you to your targets from far away. I have found several 1 to 2 gram + gold nuggets at over 18 inches deep in the ground and from over 50 yards away using this locator,simply amazing! When you are directly over a target you hold the TFR-1 still and level and it will spin around about twice then stop then spin around twice the other way and you can be sure that you have found a good target! If you run your metal detector over it and it does not go off don't worry, just dig and keep digging until you find it because the TFR-1 goes very deep! I have tried the Simmons Rods and other locators over the years with frustration and dug a lot of junk targets and false signals but this TFR-1 locator is by far and away the best one I have ever seen as I am not digging any junk anymore! The TFR-1 is light and easy to get around with,It balances very nicely in your hands and I can hunt all day with it without my wrist getting tired. After which, I put my wedding ring in the sample chamber in the TFR-Discriminator box with the help of my wife and i started to locate the other half wedding ring of my wife that she buried and hide (practice only)..In just a few seconds, we found it. The gadget bring me to the location area that my wife kept it... we are so very shocked about the results and we are very happy... when i am in the surface area of the ring, the TFR-1 started to rotate 360 degrees like the rotor blade of a helicopter... and when I search for it to the ground, I found the ring that my wife hide it every time (for practice only)

Hello my friend and thank you for your interest,the answer to your question is yes the TFR-1 Rods come with the new advanced frequency charged crystals already installed by the machinist during construction in the sealed power load chamber of the rod that is directly behind the sample well where you insert the metal or the mineral that you are searching for. These crystals are about the size of a raisin and are very powerful amplifiers. Believe it or not there is only one place in the world where you can get these crystals from and the ones that we are using are from these mines and are authentic,as the ones that are not genuine will absolutely not work. I'm a treasure hunter and work only with a metal detector and what's I know about long range Locator is that it's difficult to find something because of images (gold something like 11 images)...how -to pinpoint the real one?
I have a lot of experience in the field with a metal detector and I want to learn something new and practice if possible to learn only if it's really possible to find something. It's new for me.
If I put a couple of silver dimes in the chamber and set the gauge to this dimension can I expect to find silver dimes and/or silver items only?
I saw in a french book that Autinite (radioactive material) are insert in that kind of long range Locator. So, autinite or another radioacative material?
Approximately how many hours of practice is necessary to find a silver dime ?

Hello and thank you for your questions because they are good ones. The images that you are talking about are a problem for treasure hunters because they can throw you off if someone has already found and removed a treasure that you are searching for and this false-image is still locked in the ground where the treasure was buried at one time. These images are called "Ghost-Residuals" and from time to time you will encounter them. I am the only Long Range manufacturer that Im aware of that has a section in my training video that will teach you how identify, test for and then get rid of these false signals " before" you will be digging any large holes. The majority of the other false signals that you have heard about are very simple to avoid once you can understand what is causing them. These have to do with "Solar Radiation" that distorts the magnetic fields of the earth and the energy fields or "auras" surrounding the treasures in the ground that you are searching for. These disturbances and how to deal with them are also explained in detail in my instruction CD that is included with the TFR-1 Rod. To answer your questions about the silver dimes: Yes if you put in a sample of silver in the sample compartment then the rod will be attracted to silver but you do not need to put in more than one mercury silver dime in the sample chamber as 2 grams of material is more than enough to find silver coins or other items made of silver like jewelry,necklaces,etc. You can adjust the weight of the Target Discriminator dial to 2 grams (the weight of the mercury dime) or 3 grams,1 ounce,or any weight you wish and you will find that exact weight adjusted on the dial. So lets say there is 5 mercury dimes all together in a cluster buried in the ground,so you would simply adjust the dial on the Discriminator to 10 grams setting with your mercury dime in the chamber and you would then get a signal to that cluster. The Target Discriminator is very useful for concentrating on coins,rings etc. that are in certain weight ranges so you can narrow down these targets in a short amount of time and avoid signals from other targets that are a different size from what you are searching for.
There is no radioactive material inside my equipment and what you have heard is true about some of the different models of dowsing rods on the market today but these amounts are so small that they pose no danger to a person as the radioactivity is sealed and in safe levels.
To answer your last question: The amount of time learning to use this instrument can vary from person to person but its usually pretty quick the learning curve as its operation is very simple once you get the hang of it. You can read my latest testimonial posted on my auction from a customer named Jayson in the Philippines who had no training or experience using the TFR-1 Rod and after watching my training video and spending a little time learning to balance the instrument correctly (like within one day) he was able to find the wedding ring his wife buried repeatably in his back yard during practice testing.
If you already have experience using a metal detector then this device will speed up your searching time in the field very fast because with a metal detector you can only get a signal once you are directly over the metal and if your search coil is within range of that metal and then you are not even sure what the metal is that you found until you dig it out of the ground.
