Issued Gotha, Germany, 1846 by Perthes for Stulpnagel. 

Genuinely scarce Scandinavian language (Danish) version of an early Stulpnagel map. Examples of this map are uncommon, in this language no doubt elusive at any given moment in time.

Interesting mid 19th century engraved map with original outline hand color.

Key right side locates by color different European Colonial possessions. Honduras called a Colony. Much of the southern U.S. is shown top left, including large portion of Texas.

Paper and printed area remains well preserved, some light inoffensive age spots and surface soiling. Please inspect scan closely as it capture how the map survives visually. 

Sheet measures c. 11 1/2" x 9"

Printed area measures c. 8 1/2" x 7 1/2".
