Description: A fine landscape oil on artist's board dating circa 1980s, framed - approx 22 x 26 inches (56 X 66 cm).This is a fine English Modernist oil dating from the late 20th Century period. The landscape depicts a pretty richly coloured river scene titled, verso, "The River Medway at Aylesford in Kent". An old Medieval stone bridge spans the river. To the foreground a boat is tied to the banks of the river where cow parsley and shrubs grow. In the distance houses nestle beneath the trees with their distinctive red rooflines.

Date: The oil probably dates to around 1980s.

Framing: Contemporary classic scroll and floral moulded . Finish: Gilt.

Condition: The painting is generally in excellent condition for its age. There is some slight discolouring to parts of the sky area, consistent with age, adding to character and authenticity. The frame has one or two minor marks.
