Nvidia Quadro FX5500 high end graphics card
I am an IT professional with over 25 years experience and a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher. IT equipment purchased from us will be configured to a very high specification using our many years of accumulated knowledge.
This auction is for an Nvidia Quadro FX5500 graphics card. This is a high end 1gb graphics card designed for CAD work. It has been fully tested and works perfectly. The HP part number associated with this card is HP part no 433954-001. This PNY card was removed from an XW6600 workstation for upgrade.
It comes complete with the extension bracket fitted on the back end. This allows it to be slotted into the backplane of your workstation, providing extra support when fitted. This is an excellent add on since a simple tug on the graphics cable can unseat the card from it's PCI slot inside the PC resulting in catastrophic failure. This bracket prevents that.
It is in very good condition. with only a few little marks here and there. Please note however it is not being sold as brand new and therefore you should expect a few little rub marks /scratches / bumps here and there but if there is anything major, I will advise in the description. Please see my pictures. You can zoom right in on them for greater detail. I have nothing to hide and so provide clear pictures of the actual item for sale. My 100% record gives testimony to the accuracy and honesty of my descriptions.
This card is designed for high end cad type applications and originally cost nearly £1,000 to have it added to the XW9400 workstation. With its two x DVI outputs, it is capable of driving two digital displays at resolutions up to 3840 x 2400 @24Hz or two analog displays up to 2048 x 1536 @75Hz each. The Windows 7 / 8 drivers also works fine in Windows 10.
Please note this is a powered graphics card meaning it requires a 6 pin powered supply from your PC's PSU. The card will not operate without that power supply. It is possible to purchase a Molex to 6 pin PCI express connector however you need to check your PSU can handle giving out the required power.
