FT-857, FT-857D, FT-897, FT-897D Front-end repair kit.

RX dead or low-gain on one or more of the HF (or 50MHz) bands ?

The most common fault is failure of one or more of the frontend switching diodes. Usually as a result of static damage or RF from another TX inadvertantly entering the receiver.

The FT-857 and FT-897 series use almost identical circuitry in the front-end, this kit is provides parts used in both rigs.

FT-857/897 RX Front-end failures:
It is unusual for any of the FET's to fail. A simple resistivity check of each of these diodes will reveal if they are leaky or completely short circuit.
