This 1990 Echo Jazz Collector's Series LP (EJLP14) features arguably the two most popular jazz drummers of all time. Despite their different individual styles their bands were fashioned along the same lines, clean arrangements, good solos, some vocals to please the crowd, and more than a little be-bop influence.
The Krupa band has vocals from Dolores Hawkins, with the great Roy Eldridge on trumpet, Buddy Wise (tenor sax), and Frank Rosolino (trombone). Buddy Rich's band is his first - with arrangements by Neal Hefti, Al Kohn, and Ed Finckel - vocals by Buddy himself and Dorothy Reid.

Side One: Theme - Let Me Off Uptown / G-Bop / I Should Have Kept On Dreaming / Gene's Boogie / Disc Jockey Jump / Yesterdays / Lemon Drop.
Side Two:  A Little Handicap / Just-A-Sittin' And A-Rockin' / The Goof And I / It's About Time / Poontang / Poor Little Rich Bud / You've Got Me Crying Again.
