WWI is becoming a very popular theme among modelers from around the World with many kits coming out during the last year, and many more coming during the current one. I wanted to build the FT-17 for a long time, since I saw Takom release in 1/16. The FT Renault is known as the very first Tank of the world with a revolving turret on top and an
engine compartment at the rear. You can find this as the standard configuration on modern tanks of today. With a Renault engine of 4 cylinders this little fella was able to pull 4.35 MPH! The Tank was manage by a crew of two, one driving and the other at the turret.

This tank was sold, captured and even copied by many other countries around the world. Many of this were used during World War Two although they were already obsolete. Japan imported many FT-17 Renaults during 1919, and they saw action during the Manchurian incident, later were moved to training school for tank crews.
