NO BIDDING - NO WAITING

Here is a 1921 vintage Stanley No. 78 duplex rabbet plane from the Sweetheart era. It measures 8 1/2" long with a 1 1/2" wide iron. This plane has two seats for the cutter; one for regular work and the other for bull nose work for working close into corners. It is fitted with a 3 way cutting spur. "US Pat. 6-7-10" is cast into the left side recess;  and "Stanley No. 78" into the right side. The iron is marked "Stanley SW - Made In USA", in the logo style used only in 1921 and 1922.  This is prior to the design change in 1925 that added the cutter adjustment lever. No frozen, cracked, or damaged parts. Both throats are without damage. Disclosures: the depth shoe and fence are missing; there is roughness at the right rail toe that almost looks like an insufficient shot when cast; the japanned black finish is worn; and normal wear and usage. A solid user.
