This super RARE Yashica ML 35-75mm f4 Lens is used but in great working condition!  This lens rarely shows up on eBay anymore: it could be years until another pops up. So if you know of this lens and want a chance to get it in your hands, this is IT!

Glass is amazing clean and free of scratches, cleaning marks, haze, and fungus.  Aperture blades are free of oil too.  Movement of focus, aperture and zoom are perfectly dampened.  Body is in great shape as well.  Take a look at the photos and see for yourself!

Pictures from this lens are sharp and have great contrast.  With 70mm on the long end, this ML lens is also one of the few compact lenses that reaches into the area between 50mm and 135mm in the Yashica ML line.  The others are of the push and pull variety that can be clunky and dust-filled.

Also, this lens is great for video!

1)  The lens is two-touch and can be used with gears on the focus and zoom.  Push-pulls are problematic since the focus gear position changes with zooming and focal length can easily shift with hand focusing.

2) This lens doesn't breath when focusing!  I have Veydra primes and this lens actually breathes way less than those cine primes.

3) The ML 35-70 is practically as sharp and contrasty as my Yashica ML 35mm and 50mm primes.

4) Minimum focus is just under 2 feet! And a healthy 200 degree throw allows for easy and precise focus pulls.

5) Constant aperture!  The image doesn't get darker as you zoom in!

6) Did I mention it is sharp and contrasty?

The only drawbacks are that the front filter rotates with focus and f4 aperture can be a bit slow if you are a night shooter.  But these are small issues in exchange for great optics and ergonomics!

I'm only selling because my vintage lens collection has gotten quite large but I rarely use them for work anymore.  I badly want to keep this lens, but I need to upgrade my camera for a new gig that just came up.  So I'm selling this very rare lens to help fund that purchase.  Get it while you can!

Check out my perfect feedback and  bid with confidence!

Optical

:

This lens has mechanical variable cam for adjusting the aperture. At the maximum openings, (@35mm,) it is just like the optics has being one stop down from the maximum aperture. This leads to very good performance in the 35 -50 Range. While the 70mm range is also quite good in terms of contrast and resolution.

Feelings

Another recent accquire zoom lens. One of the recent design, which features close focus to 0,60 m.in all focal lengths. This has increased the convenient in actual applications of an so called Universal Zoom. Beautiful color rendition and resolution. As mentioned in the leavelet, this lens corrects various optical errors to a large extend, plus the modest maximum aperture and muilty coatings that make the lens has exceptionally good imaging forming capabilities.
