Up for auction today is this great & RARE hacking sub second military issue Waltham made in 1943 according to its movement serial number, smack in the middle of the Second World War era. It's got an EXCELLENT dull steel case AND the dial is great AND it runs great AND it's just been fitted with a never worn NOS miltary issue band from the WW2 era. It winds and sets just fine. It winds up tight and runs all the way down. It was serviced a few years back and worn only a few times since then and still keeps good time, to within a few minutes a day.
Here are some of it's details:
Case: 32mm wide not including crown, 37mm high including the lugs, Chromed brass, almost like new condition!, might have seen service In the war!
Crystal: Plastic, no damage, freshly polished and crystal clear
Movement: 16 jewel 6/0-B  in lovely cosmetic condition, running well, serviced a few years back and still running strong!
Dial: All original mint black dial with white numerals
Hands: All original, near mint!
Band: never worn NOS miiltary issue16mm band in gray cotton with a bakelite buckle, from the WW2 era
