Nikon D3400 Full Spectrum converted camera!
Up for bid is a Nikon D3400. The internal IR hot filter has been removed and replaced with a Spectosil 2000 Fused Silica filter which will pass UV from 170nm all the way to IR frequencies over 2000nm. This material is superior in all aspects to Schott WG280 or Quartz plate glass which passes UV from 280nm. I am the only service offering this superior product for full spectrum conversions. The result is what you see in the first 2 pictures in my listing. The first is with the camera's WB set on green grass and the second is with the camera set for AWB. This camera is the preferred conversion for astrophotography.
With ergonomic controls and comfortable rubberized grips, the camera will accept all Nikkor AF lenses but will autofocus only with AF-S and AF-I lenses. The Nikon D3400 packs ultra-high image quality into a small and light package that you'll want to carry everywhere. The new D3400 is the lightest Nikon SLR or DSLR ever at just 16.2 oz. (460g) with battery and SD card.
The main improvements to the D3400 are extended battery life and SnapBridge support. Using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), SnapBridge creates a connection between the D3400 and a smart device, making it possible to wirelessly and automatically transfer images. The Nikon D3400 also features an EXPEED 4 processor, 5fps continuous shooting, a 3 inch 921k-dot LCD monitor, one-touch full 1080p HD video recording with autofocus, quick-access Live View mode, ISO range of 100-25600, 11-point autofocus system with a cross-type sensor in the center.
The myth of the ‘retained dust reduction system’: Using clear glass to replace the fluorine coated ultrasonic shake filter originally used is a gimmick. Clear glass adds another layer of reflectivity and distortion to your images. And dust will electrostatically ‘stick’ to uncoated clear glass regardless of how many times you actuate the ultrasonic shake filter. The fluorine coating on the original shake filter reduces reflectivity and distortion, and reduced the static attraction between the dust and the shake filter allowing for the filter to drop the dust when activated. Unfortunately it also filters IR and reflects all UV and has to be removed. I don’t sell gimmicks, just the finest converted cameras in the world.
The camera’s condition: This is a new USA Nikon camera and was used only to test the camera and the quality of the conversion. The camera is mechanically perfect. All buttons switches and knobs have been tested and work smoothly. The viewfinder is clear. The LCD has no dead pixels and rear TFT cover and upper LCD are clean. Cosmetically, the body’s condition is as new (but please see my pictures to decide for yourself). The autofocus has been adjusted in visible light and is GUARANTEED f/1.8 sharp with the 50mm prime and will likely perform similarly with other Nikkor lenses. Calibration to a particular/esoteric lens is FREE. Just ask.
