This is our beloved Mk1 Ford transit campervan that we have owned for the last 7 years. In that time we have travelled the Length and breadth of the country on holidays and attending classic car shows. The van in that time has undergone many chnges including resturation work and modifications. This is not a concourse classic vehicle and has been restored with a view to being useable campervan that lives outside. The paint work is finished with rollers and brushes which sounds bad but the correct paint to do this, coachwork enamel was purchased and the finish looks quite reasonable and not to shabby. This also enables any future repair work to be carried out easily and simple to touch in again. Included in the sale is 2ltrs of the paint used. The Van has had both rear arches replaced along with lower rear quarters, side seals, door bottoms, both front wings and the bonnet replaced with a fibre glass one from smith and deakins. Any other rust was cut out and replaced with new metal. The Van has also had a replacement 2ltr V4 Ford Capri engine, which was brand new when purchase having been made up of new old stock parts. Married to this is a (type 9)  5 speed gearbox from a Ford Capri which makes driving on todays modern roads a lot more pleasurable.

The front seats are shark cray Recaros also from a Ford Capri as the seats when we purchased the Van were worse for ware and not the orginal Ford seats. The interior of the campervan has full electrics 12v with back up batteries and 230v hockup. There is a small gas/12v powered fridge. there is a 2 ring gas hob with grill and a sink with electric water pump. There are 2 bench seats that run down the sides of the van that with the table make up a resonable sized double bed. the orginal hamock bed in the pop up roof was missing so we have made one which our young son slept in up till last year to the age of seven. He could probable sleep in it still but we have not been away this year to tell. The Van comes with the drive away awning pictured.
