Vintage Hand Carved Eagle Indian Woman Chair

This chair is 45" tall, 23 1/2" wide and 25" deep

This chair was found in a climate controlled storage unit.  It looks like other items listed on ebay that were made in the jungles of the Philippiens in the mid 60's out of solid Wood, we do not know for sure the type of wood, we think it is either Teak or Philippine Mohagany. The chair, eagle and the body are made from one solid piece of wood.

Notice the detail on the back and the front of the chair, each feather of the eagle is carved, the claws grab the woman feet and the eagle's tail is the actual seat of the chair.  The natural ring pattern of the wood is apparent in the view of the seat. You can also see in the wood grain pattern of the seat back, the center of the piece of wood from which the chair was carved. The attention to detail is stunning.

It is an absolute unique.  You will not find anything even close to it.
