1973 Jaguar XJ6 for sale

It's not every day you see a completely original 1973 Jaguar XJ6 for sale. The Series 1 XJ6 was produced from 1968-1973. This is could be the nicest original example out there for sale today. If you're a Jaguar enthusiast you'll love owning a series 1 XJ6.

This particular Jaguar spent most of its life in the Southern United States and as a result the car is extremely solid (no snow, good climate). The previous owner was from Atlanta, Georgia so the car has enjoyed good care in a very temperate climate. The previous owner bought the car on 4/6/1977 and enjoyed it until just a  years ago when he sold it to a very loyal client of mine. The current owner takes meticulous care of his cars, and his entire collection is stored during bad weather and winter months.

Perhaps the most outstanding feature on this car is the original Turquoise paint. The door jams are spectacular and clean. There area few areas on the car where the deep red primer peaks through this rare color. Nature has a way of making things beautiful and putting colors together that blend wonderfully. The setting sun comes to mind as nature combines light blue with bright pink. The slow influence of nature has had a chance to spread its beauty over the surface of this car. The few thin spots in the single stage paint allow the primer to show through with a striking result. This thin veil is akin to a photo of Marilyn Monroe wearing a sheer scarf that allows parts of her outfit and skin to peak through. There is no substituting the brush stroke of nature. The patina on this car is fascinating.

This XJ6 rides on nearly brand new tires. The carburetors and spark plugs were recently cleaned and tuned, and other routine maintenance has been performed diligently. The car starts, drives and idles beautifully.

1973 was the last year of the Series 1 Jaguar XJ6. Starting in 1974 the XJ6 was burdened with the addition of rubber bumpers both front and rear. The true collectability and desirability lies in the Series 1 cars. Being the final year of the Series 1, 1973 represents the most refined series 1 XJ6. I can help with shipping and I have sold to many different States and Countries to happy customers throughout the World.

Have a look through the photo galleries and videos below this written description and I'm sure you'll be impressed with the car. Let me know if I can answer any questions, and thanks for checking out my auction!
