Pneumatic
Stringed Instruments Brace Jack Tool
(Patent Pending)
The Pneumatic
Stringed Instruments Brace Jack
is a totally new design concept in luthier
tools that uses a mini-air cylinder operated
by a hand bulb pump connected to a 3' hose
.
With 15 lbs
of operating air pressure, the pump is capable
of easily lifting four large 2"x4"
wooden blocks in bench testing.
This is the
easiest tool in the world to use and makes
clamping hard to reach braces as easy as
it can get.
To use, insert
the tool with one hand and hold it wherever
it's needed. Extend the 3' hose and pump
to the outside of the instrument.
With the other
hand, squeeze the pump once lightly and
see that the jack extends where wanted.
Squeeze the pump one or two more times firmly.
Continue with
one pump about every 30 seconds about 3
to 5 minutes until glue sets.
For overnight
clamping, use a ZIPLINE jack on either side
and remove cylinder jack. |
