Schneider Apo-Symmar 240mm f/5.6 MC large format lens in black Copal 3 shutter for 5x4, 5x7 and 8x10 format.

The 240mm Apo-Symmar lens has an image circle of 352mm and produces a superb sharpness and contrast that you would expect from a modern multicoated lens. Colour is really nice with this lens - well balanced and natural looking.

This focal length makes a useful long lens for 5x4 with a nice compressed perspective and doubles up as a useful semi-wide angle for 8x10 format still with room for some movements. The rear element is small enough to be used on field cameras using Technika/Wista type panels. Front filter thread is 77mm.

In excellent condition with clean glass, all working with accurate shutter and only relatively small signs of age/use.

Comes with 2 original caps and retaining ring as shown. Also comes in a Calumet lens wrap.
