This box is the latest in a collection that my wife and I recently inherited from her uncle's  estate. While knocking down a wall to expand one of the rooms, I found something quite odd. In a corner within one of the walls, there were a number of boxes of varying sizes. They were covered in sheets of wax, with what appeared to be small animal bones scattered around them. Strange symbols were scratched on the wall behind them. The box up for auction  has a sinister feeling about it, and the weight of something inside of it. I brought the boxes home with me.
For a week or so, nothing was odd.
However, then we began to hear a scratching sound which seemed to come from everywhere. It would start small and soft and seem to grow more frantic. 
I woke to the scratching one night to see my wife standing in front of the boxes just staring at them. I tried to get up to go to her, and could not move. I watched her just stand there for what seemed like forever. Over the next few days, wherever I was in the house, I would hear a strange whispering that I could not understand. My wife refuses to speak of the experiences but has a haunted exhausted look all of the time. 
I have gone online to try to find out further what may be happening, and all indications appear to be that it is a Dybbuk box. The stories say that an entity is imprisoned within the box, but is still able to influence things outside of it. My hope is that it will go to someone wiser then myself about these matters. I refuse to open it, and cannot say what may be inside.
