Salmon Series
Salmon can be found in rivers, holding in front of rocks, behind rocks, beside rocks, in depressions, above the riffle, below the riffle and, on occasion, in the riffle. They hug the bottom and they suspend. They stage up in tidewater, waiting for the rains to fill the rivers. Again… they hug the bottom and they suspend. Basically, they are where you find them and try as you might, it would be rare to find a rod that could handle all the varying techniques required to be successful. That’s exactly why we developed the Salmon Series. Unique actions and rod designs made to give you the optimum advantage when it comes to catching these giant sea run creatures whose bite, at times, can be lighter than a trout. Techniques vary from region to region, waterway to waterway. There’s drift mooching and power mooching in the ocean, trolling in the estuaries and drift fishing, plug fishing, bobber fishing and back-bouncing in the rivers. There are special finesse techniques developed and known by only a few that can trigger bites when nothing else will work and we make rods for all of them. The fish can be aggressive, selective, moody and negative all in the same day. Fish found in a nice run or a deep hole one day can move upstream and disappear overnight. Holes totally devoid of fish one day can be packed the next. It’s the nature of the beast and it’s why we make 14 different models covering five different techniques. This is our turf! SAR1084S: This is our standard mooching rod, but
in spinning configuration for those who prefer not to use a casting
reel. It’s designed to fish cut-bait, flashers or lures in the ocean.
When mooching or trolling it will handle up to 6-ounces, but will cast
only a couple of ounces effectively. Drift fishermen can use it in the
river for casting or plunking. You can throw heavy spoons and spinners
as well using this rod. It will handle even the largest of the salmon
species, right along with silvers, chums and pinks, no problem!

Some rods may also ship direct to you from manufacturer in one to three business days (G. Loomis & St. Croix). Returns: For a more prompt exchange/refund, Please keep your invoice! If it is necessary to return merchandise for an exchange/refund, all merchandise must meet the following conditions:
- Returned in original packaging. If tags are on product the tags must still be on product
- Returned within 30 days.
- Returned to us in NEW re-sellable condition.
- Copy of invoice enclosed with merchandise.
- You must contact us for a RMA number and write the number on the package.
- You must return the goods to the warehouse(s) specified in the RMA, and it is the customer's responsibility to verify the correct return address before sending goods back. Any goods shipped to the incorrect location will incur additional shipping charges. We are not responsible for any goods returned to the wrong address.
- Enclose a brief letter of explanation.
Free shipping
charges are not refundable. If you return an item for a refund that had
free shipping, a normal shipping charge will be deducted from the
