Holy Medal on 24" chain

In Spain there is a beautiful mountain with many jagged peaks - giving it a toothed appearance - hence the name Montserrat - the serrated mountain.  Here was found many years ago a miraculous statue of the Virgin Mary and the child Jesus.  This statue is now housed in a beautiful setting - a gorgeous monastery and Cathedral set in the most unbelievable cliff setting.  Definitely on the list of places to visit someday!  Our Lady is said to provide many miracles for devotion to her image as the Virgin of Montserrat - especially for cures of illness and for couples desiring children. 

This holy medal is nickel silver, about 1" tall oval, and is made in Italy.  The reverse of the medal has the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  The image on the "Virgen de Montserrat" on the front of this medal is beautifully detailed rendering of the miraculous statue.  The medal comes securely attached to a 24" continuous stainless steel chain.  This means there is no clasp to worry about.  The chain can easily slip on and off over most heads; (although you may want to measure first if you happen to have an extra large head :)
