The GTR's RB engine has a tough iron block mated to a sophisticated alloy head with good gas flow characteristics. While providing an excellent base for tuning this combination of materials also produces certain problems when it comes to head gaskets. This combination results in higher shearing loads between the two materials, and it is these forces that can wreck lesser head gaskets under high loads. These Cometic gaskets are far superior in resisting these loads- giving you a more even torque spread and confidence that your head gasket is man enough for your higher boost levels.
Contructed from the highest quality materials, these gaskets are race proven to offer you the greatest reliability. Made from stainless steel for its inherent strength and its ability to withstand deformation- stainless also offers excellent corrosion resistance. The outer two layers are coated in a 2500 degree resistant flourolastomer (on both sides) called VITON- this gives you an excellent sealing material, even under the most extreme conditions.
