For auction is a Hublot SuperB Flyback 1920.1 42MM automatic chronograph tachymeter bezel with rubber screw down pushers. One of the last models produced before Jean-Claude Biver took over and introduced the Big Bang. This was a modernized evolution of a watch that lit the 80’s on fire when Hublot introduced the first luxury watch with a plastic strap. Now some of the most expensive watches produced come on rubber, but in the 1980’s it was novel. The 1920 series cases are great, a perfect wearing 42MM with screw down crown and pushers (though they do make the chromo tougher to use easily I think that screw down pushers are an amazing look) and the ultra comfortable fitted rubber strap. A well thought out and high grade steel sports watch; it is more in keeping with monochromatic classic watches (think speedy/sub) than with later Hublot models, but I think that is its charm.
