Large and heavy duty jack.  This is a neat looking old Vintage threaded screw Jack.  Useful for lifting and holding railroad and other heavy type equipment and machinery, house floors, barn and auto work.  This type of jack is very useful for lift and long term hold situations.

It has very unusual design of the 3 adjustment holes are cast onto the outside.

It is marked in embossed raised letters along outer bottom rim "THE JOYCE GRIDLAND CO DAYTON OHIO NO 111".  Also embossed on bottom underside "PATD OCT 2 1888.  Has most of its original green paint on jack body.

The top that makes contact with item to be lifted has a head that is made so that it rotates and has side to side movement so that it gets good contact with the load.  It has good gripper teeth on top.  It turns freely and raises/lifts fine.  Diameter across the threads is 2 1/4 inches.

This is a large jack.  It is about 10 1/2 inches tall closed and with the telescoping screw section it extends to a total of about 16 inches.  Top is about 3 1/2 inches diameter.  Base is about 7 inches diameter.  Made of all metal.  Heavy, it weighs about 27 pounds.  It has a carry handle.

Appears to be in good working condition.

I do not see any breaks, damages, nor repairs.  There is no crank/ twist handle included but lots of sizes of iron bar or rod would work fine.

See photos for cosmetic condition.

It is in as found condition and will look even better with a proper cleaning.
