My abilities to mould and cast stem from my Special Effects background in film and TV. I graduated from a three year degree in Character Creation in 2010 with a first, and since then have worked on a number of films and adverts. My work in Special Effects also led me into life casting, for which I additionally also work part-time as a print taker; life casting and making impressions of babies hands and feet in clay.  At University I had specific training on sculpting, human colouration and lessons on micro rooting, including lectures and demonstrations by Madame Tussauds wax model hair rooters. My education gave me a great start in the world of reborning, and I have now been a professional artist for 5 years. Her body is poured in one complete piece. Her tightly curled newborn posture proved a challenge to mould and cast, but was well worth while as I love the way she poses and holds herself. She is poured in top quality, super soft ecoflex platinum silicone. She has been poured in ecoflex 30. I do not use ANY additives in my silicone. Additives used to increase the working time and alter the properties of liquid silicone can cause the silicone to deteriorate much faster. All my dolls are poured with neat ecoflex. Her head is fixed to avoid any unsightly neck joins. The silicone is soft enough so you can gently pose her in lots of different ways. The sculpt was spared no detail and it was certainly a challenge to produce such a detailed sculpt on such a small scale! Her skull features a fontanelle, she is anatomically correct and in the right light you can even see her little ribs! Bambi has beautiful warm neutral SKIN TONES and her skin features the softest mottling, veining and little blemishes which have been carefully added to give incredible realism. My method of painting ensures outstanding depth to the skin which is guaranteed to amaze. She has been airbrushed with silicone paints to keep her skin perfectly smooth, and finally given a healthy satin finish for realism. She can be bathed just as you would a real newborn. ♥ Baby's HAIR has been carefully rooted with tiny 42 gauge needles in the best quality kid mohair available, purchased direct from the renowned DELTA DAWN. I have combined 2 stunning shades for a realistic finish. Unlike vinyl dolls her hair is unable to be sealed on the inside. The silicone 'heals' around the hair to hold it in place so please take great care when bathing and styling. ♥ Bambi's mouth is open to take a miniature bottle and pacifier.  Please note this is a miniature baby, and not a newborn sized silicone doll. Please see measurements at the beginning of the listing for more details. This is a collectors item. Please handle her with love and care.  I only use top quality materials and techniques to create my dolls. As with most silicone reborn's Bambi is entirely hand made and as such does have some imperfections. These are considered part of the quality of this hand made collectors piece. Throughout the process of creating her I have worked in natural light or under a day light lamp when needed to produce a more accurate, natural looking baby. All photos have been taken in natural light. The variations in light provide different views of her skin tones. I have invested a lot of time and money into producing this baby so please, serious buyers only.
