These Power Wagons are gaining in collectible value and well known as unstoppable beasts with a very heavy chassis that will just walk through the most treacherous of terrains, without even shifting into lower range 4x4 ratios as its already running in 4x4. It's a "point and shoot" scenario.

Starts quickly, choke works, Runs great, drives perfectly straight, tight steering that steers easily, Quiet running, no rear hums or whines and stops good without drum squeal or grinding.. Head Lights, horn, speedo, guages, turn signals, and brake lights work as designed. Glass is extra nice too.

Incredible body condition, paint still shines well, frame and undercarriage are exceptional due to an ideal, DRY Arizona and California climate life and Jeweler/owner's Cosmetic restoration (7yrs ago)which involved taking all the body parts off.

The graphics you see can be removed. I added red pin stripes and power wagon decals to dress it up, all that comes off if you like. The Dodge decal is the correct

vintage and placement, according to my research.

Use history
I've owned this Power Wagon for 6 years and put only 2,000 miles on it cruising around town and of course a few neighbors borrowed it to pick up their monster flat panel TVs. Although I had intended to haul a car carrier, I never hauled anything.   I really hate selling this very cool 4x4 but it is way too nice to not be garaged. I have 7 cars and I cannot garage it. You 4x4 lovers know how very difficult it is to find such a  rugged 4x4 in this condition. Most have suffered from multiple years of snow, heavy hauling, salt, rust, mud or undercarriage damage from rock crawling. After all, that's what they were built to do! Mainly its been a show off toy that gets a lot of appreciation everywhere its seen.
What I had done mechanically: simple maintenance.  Replaced the fuel pump and filter, replaced valve cover gaskets as they leaked. Also changed the oil and filter twice. Added an Accel super coil and replaced plugs and wires and a new battery.. Probably time for rotor, points and another radiator flush. Maybe a high flow water pump if you will be hauling. The aluminum Radiator is working well with a good upper verus lower hose temperature.

Detailed Information

Body and paint-Cosmetically restored 2010.

Southern California and Arizona lifelong existence is apparent as condition is remarkable. Paint condition is easily an 8.5. No peeling clear coat or evidence of body work.

Very straight, was disassembled, taken to metal, primed and painted 2 stage base coat/clearcoat. All weather stripping was replaced and is still supple.

Doors shut nice, all panels, hood have good fitment

Very solid without creaks and rattles

Bed is straight and undented, both sides and floor are undamaged
Both sides of theTailgate are straight and undamaged as well.

The restoration was a very professional job that still shines and presents well., Does have a sliver of peeled paint (not rust) under the mirror bases and some, not many, tiny little chips on really close inspection. that could easily be fixed if you are a perfectionist. Shows strong from all angles with that Big Boy aggressive stance. ***Note, will have picture of sliver peel under mirror and undercarriage by Wed.****

Engine and Transmission

Original 318 Engine, intake & exhaust manifolds and carburetor

Original Drivetrain and Dodge 3 speed 727 transmission

Starts quickly, operating choke, smooth running, no unusual noises and no smoke. I do not know if it was every rebuilt. Shifts smoothly, no issues with drive train experienced. Runs on midgrade unleaded fuel, with zero detonation. Front and rear axles are quiet as well.

Brakes

Big power brakes w/ dual master that really work well.

Glass

Windows roll up and down and seal well.
All glass Near Perfect, no scratches, no fogging nor water damage. Rear Flip out windows  and Etched "Club Cab" windows are excellent as well.

 Chrome and trim

Not much chrome on this model. Stainless mirrors look new, stainless grille is excellent, door handles are good, but probably original, a little faded, Front  Bumper appears original and is somewhat faded and backside of that front bumper has surface rust.

Interior

Restored and still very nice. White paint Inside of cab is even and shiny, like the exterior. Dashboard and gauges are clear and working.  there are two tiny, short slits on the back top edge of dash pad I may get fixed if there is time.  New Suede seating with French stitching. New carpeting, new leather & chrome Steering Wheel, new Kenwood stereo/CD with Blue tooth with phone speaker and USB port, wired for 4 speakers. 2 in front are Pioneer. Retractable seat belts that  are over the shoulder and working as designed. New Dodge RAM floor mats.

Nice original door panels and arm rests

Rare jump seats in excellent condition and includes mounting bolts.

Lights, heater and accessories

Headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, interior light, speedo, fuel gauge, amp and temperature gauge are working. Wipers and Heater controls are working as well. I know of no electrical problems, wiring appears to be bone stock and not altered by amateur hands.

Undercarriage
Exceptionally clean, partially detailed. No rust damage on anything, floors, bed, all solid. Will send pictures of undercarriage and post some when my camera

is fixed Tuesday. Obviously was not, or rarely, driven in inclement weather or rough housed on mountain rocks. No telltale scrapes and dents underneath. This was a toy, not a workhorse, although it could be either. There was a slight weeping at differential gasket that I cleaned off and retightened the bolts. The California owner said he resealed everything including the engine and transmission when they did the restoration and changed all the fluids. I will recheck for leaks over the next week.

  Wheels & Tires

Nearly perfect Chrome 17" Alloys, no pitting or curb rash.

17" Goodyear Wrangler TAs. low mileage but 7 years old, shows a few little cracks.

So, what is there left to do? You can just go play in the snow or mud or hills. If you intend to show it, I would rechrome the front bumper and fix the peeled paint sliver under mirrors and detail the engine bay out.

Title and Registration

Currently clear Arizona Title in my name showing 65,000 actual miles when titled in 2010.

Mileage is certified on the title.

There is no sales tax on private sales in Arizona

Copy of former California Title.

Passed emissions every time up until I quit registering it a couple years ago.

Eligible in this state for Classic car status, thus no emissions required.

Drives like a car, so your wife will love it, Power steering, 3 speed automatic and big power brakes, no shifting into 4x4 needed!. Gets raves and thumbs up all over town. This Power Wagon appears to have never been four wheeling. I thought I was going to tow my classic cars in style with it someday, but that never happened. I drove this from Palm Springs, CA to Cave Creek, AZ, 330 high speed miles, without a single problem in 100 degree heat. Gas mileage was not all that bad since it has a two barrel and that 318 is a great choice for fuel economy on a  4x4 truck this size. You can haul anything and it will go up my very steep gravel driveway in reverse, nothing else I have owned could do that. Yes, plenty of room to add a/c if you want that. Vintage Power Wagons did not usually come with a/c until recently, of course.

I have restored and collected lots of collector cars, and still do, and buyers have bought sight unseen from me. (Check my feedback as seller) Still, I am not a mechanic and also not an expert on 4x4s. I always prefer to sell to someone who has seen and driven the vehicle so they will be happy. Anyone would be proud to own this beautiful Power Wagon but it is not a fresh restoration and has been driven 2,000 miles since I purchased it.  The imperfections are minimal and do not really detract from its overall impact. Serious buyers can Email for phone number and phone video.

I have represented this vehicle to the best of my knowledge, indicating flaws that I am aware of discovered in my six years of ownership. As a 40 year old vehicle it is sold as is, where is,  without any warranty or guarantee on condition.

On Dec-11-16 at 09:29:26 PST, seller added the following information:

This truck passed emissions for the 2014/15 registration year and was licensed.  Prior to that it passed CA emissions and was licensed for 2010/2011 when I bought it. it was never registered as a non op as the jeweler used it to commute and I drove it occasionally.

No repairs were required to pass.
