A Staffordshire tureen by Bishop & Stonier, in their Gladys pattern.

Elegant shape, with an even more elegant lid.

The back is marked with the caduceus emblem, and the words:

Condition:
Very good condition, with no major damage.

Some crazing, as you would expect.

No chips or cracks, except for a tiny nibble on the underside of the rim of the lid (see close-up photograph).

Some surface marks from normal use.

The edges of the handles are a little rough, presumably from scuffing.
