ANTIQUE NEEDLEWORK SAMPLER OR EMBROIDERY CIRCA 1840

Antique hand embroidered needlework with pencil date on reverse stating "handworked in 1840 Hagar & Ismael".  Lovely original wool worked needlepoint depicting an historical moment.  Completely original, not renovated at all but in very good condition for age painstakingly worked by hand  circa date stated on back, 1840. Needlework tacked to contemporay wooden frame with remnants of paper backing to reverse.  

The needlework is in lovely condition.
