The fine item you are considering is an Antique Large 1937 Dutch Soccer Football Floating Trophy Award. This amazing, large, soccer trophy is marked “Wisselbeker” which is the Dutch word for a floating trophy, that would have been passed from one team to another through the years. The trophy stands approximately 17 ½” tall, and the round top section of the trophy which is shaped like a soccer ball, measures approximately 5 ½” in diameter. The wording, in Dutch, on the trophy says “Wisselbeker S.S., Uitgeloofd Door, Hisp. J.F.F. Gotz, 20 Februari 1937”. The trophy is in overall great condition, but it does have some plating wear in some areas, there‘s a small section of the lid that has an inner lip that‘s a bit bent in (this lip is hidden inside the trophy when the lid is on so you won‘t see this) and while the small soccer player is still mounted to the lid, the area where his ankle connects to his shoe (which connects to the lid) is a little wobbly when you touch him, so this area may have been damaged enough to cause weakness, but he is still attached. Please see my photos to have a look at this nice item.

Thanks for looking, and happy bidding/buying!
