1940 PHILIPPE TRIFARI RHINESTONE ROSE & YELLOW GOLD RHODIUM FUR CLIP BROOCH PIN PATENT #120,448 (see patent drawing below)
- DESCRIPTION: Breathtaking Poppy Flower fur Clip designed by Alfred Philippe and patented in 1940. There are three types of plating used in this piece, the petals of the flower and the entire back of the piece is a stunning rich ROSE GOLD Plating, half of the leaves are plated in yellow gold plate and the other half of the leaves that are encrusted with the clear paste chatons, the tips of the flower petals where the chatons are, and the center of the flower where the chatons are, is rhodium plated. When I said breathtaking, I meant it. This piece is incredible. Even with some of the chatons darkening slightly (more noticeable in the macro photos, not so much in person), this piece will put a huge smile on your face. Trifari collectors know what I am talking about when I say that!
