I am currently a college student at Michigan State University, going on to my Junior Year pursuing a mechanical engineering degree. I have been in the hobby of miniature wargaming for almost an entire decade, starting up playing 40k when I was just in the 4th grade!

One of the aspects of the miniature wargaming hobby I like the most was scenery building, and over the years I have perfected my craft by not only emulating the methods I have seen of some of Games Workshop's most talented scenery builders, but also experimenting and finding out new ways to make use of common ordinary materials in order to create terrain that stands out.

When I am coming up with ideas for what I want to create, my main inspiration comes from natural landscapes, but I also use my imagination to add a twist. When combining these in conjunction with each other, it allows me to create something not only realistic but also unique.

Now that I am away at university I do not have as much time to delegate towards this wonderful hobby anymore (as well as money), so I looked to find ways to make a business out of my craft which led me to the idea of selling my terrain creations online for profit. So I set about producing handmade terrain on a larger scale in matching sets.

At Darkforge Designs, we do not skip out or cut any corners when it comes to building each of our individual terrain pieces.

We use quality materials in all of our creations. Each modular terrain piece is placed on a solid MDF base that resists warping and provides significant weight in order for it to sit on he tabletop and not slide around during gaming. Natural materials are also incorporated to provide a realistic look, with small details being added in places in order to give depth and bring each piece to life.

In addition to the construction process, all of our terrain pieces are hand painted using quality acrylic paints that will stand up the to more than just a regular environment, utilizing both standard and nonstandard painting techniques. Flocking is applied by hand as well on each piece. In the case of statically charged flocks, static applicators are used in order to provide a realistic "standing-up" look to grasses or ground cover.

All items are weighed individually on a shipping scale and will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail where applicable. In the situation that the requirements mandated by that shipping service are exceeded (due to weight or package size), Standard Shipping will be used. Priority Mail Express is also supported, but PLEASE be aware of the incurred fees due to the faster speed of this option. Tracking numbers will also be issued for every order.

Combined orders (orders with multiple items) will be shipped in a single box in order to minimize costs, which will be calculated after your order is submitted by adding the weights of each item together and taking the size of the package into account.

Return Policy

• Returns will only be accepted for damaged items, or recieving the incorrect items (see below).

• Returns MUST be started within TWO WEEKS of recieving the item(s).

• Refunds will be given as MONEY BACK.

Receiving Incorrect Items

At Darkforge Designs, all of our terrain pieces utilize a code system (written on the bottom of each terrain piece) to ensure that you get the right items every time, and these are checked when packing each shipment against your invoice. While this system works very well, there is the possiblity that the wrong piece may be grabbed on accident. We will make sure that receiving wrong items will NEVER HAPPEN.

However in the case that you check over your invoice and see that you indeed HAVE recieved an incorrect piece, issue a return and/or message me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so I can work things out and exchange the incorrect items for the correct ones. It is EXTREMELY important that this is done as fast as possible so I can have those items back in my inventory, in the event that another customer orders them. I am very quick with correcting orders.

Receiving Damaged Items

As a disclaimer, I am not responsible for items that are damaged during shipment, but I do allow refunds for damaged items. You MUST provide me with CLEAR picture prove by messaging me a picture of the damaged item, and you MUST let me know within TWO WEEKS if you need a refund, as stated above. Otherwise I will ignore the request completely.

The reason I ask for pictures is so I can prove that the ITEM HAS TRULY BEEN DAMAGED.
