A first edition of this biography of the ruler of the kingdom of Mysore in India.

Tipu Sultan (20 November 1750  – 4 May 1799), also known as the Tiger of Mysore, was the ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1782 to 1799, and a scholar, soldier and poet.

Illustrated throughout with numerous plates, including a folding map to the rear.

CONDITION

In a brown cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with just some light shelfwear. Dustwrapper is sound, though with some loss, creasing and marks, and some slight discolouration to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and mainly clean, with just the occasional patch of foxing. Overall: VERY GOOD in a GOOD dustwrapper.
