Stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond & Pearl 'Trefoil' Ring c1896
UK Ring Size 'M 1/2', or US Ring Size '6 1/2'

A stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Ring that dates to c1896 and is set centrally with a Ruby, a Sapphire & a Diamond - all claw set to form a 'Trefoil Motif' flanked at each side by a split Pearl (please see the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item's description).

This wonderful antique ring has a plain 'D' shaped shank leading to the tapered shoulders and gem set gallery, which measures approx' 14mm from the outside edge of the Pearls. The focal point is the wonderful 'Trefoil Motif' set with a round Diamond, Ruby & Sapphire to create a ring that is simply sublime.

As you would expect this fine quality ring, which weighs 2.6 grams, is stamped with a maker's mark inside the shank 'NB's' together with a full hallmark confirming that it is made from solid 18ct Gold and that it was assayed in Birmingham in 1896

Overall this stunning Victorian Ring is in great condition with only light signs of wear commensurate with age. It is sized as a UK Ring Size 'M 1/2', which equates to a US Ring Size '6 1/2'; as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i.e it is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gauge depending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring when worn.

In summary, this is a stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Ring that dates to c1896 and is set centrally with a Ruby, a Sapphire & a Diamond - all claw set to form a 'Trefoil Motif' flanked at each side by a split Pearl - it is quite simply sublime.
