The Fender Deluxe 85 features a 12 inch speaker with solid-state circuitry and is rated at 65 watts. This was part of the "Red Knob" series of solid-state amps produced from 1987 to 1993, which was later popularized by Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead.

Channel 1 (clean): has a vibrant tone which can be enhanced with reverb and three way EQ. Perfect for pairing with Telecaster and single-coil guitar models.

Channel 2 (dirty): can be adjusted using gain, limiter, and boost to produce an distorted overdrive sound. Good match with Jazzmaster and humbucker guitar models.

Foot Switch: The two channels can also be combined using the three button foot switch, allowing you to control channel selection, reverb, and boost.

The Deluxe 85 uses a spring reverb-tank to create a classic blues/rock echo effect. Other notable features include separate volume controls for each channel, effects-loop jacks, line-out jack, and headphone jack.

This versatile amplifier is very powerful and loud enough for gigging, but can also be used for practice at lower volumes.
