We've been cleaning up the store after the holidays and have found a ton of new items for eBay. We have a fantastic selection of scratch-and-dent, factory 2nds, and last-one and display chess sets, pieces, and boards at incredible low prices. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get new or used chess pieces, board or sets at a fraction of the retail price.

This auction is for a Saitek Mephisto Talking Chess Trainer. The unit measures 12 1/4" x 10" with an 8" x 8" chess board. This auction includes the pieces and manual. This unit can speak in English, French and German. The unit takes 3xAAA batteries (not included). There is no dress box. This unit has not been tested and is being sold AS IS.

If you just need a set of chess pieces or chess board, we have you covered - but if you need them both be sure to check all of our auctions - we list the appropriate square size and king height so you can mix and match (or just buy new from our website).  As always, we are happy to combine shipping when you purchase multiple items (Please note some larger or unusually shaped items have to ship separately). FAQ on Shipping:
We understand that the shipping rates can seem quite high.  Because we do not build any shipping costs in to the items themselves (indeed, we're often listing items for well below cost) we need to use the actual shipping costs as calculated by UPS.  Sadly the cost of an item has nothing to do with the shipping cost.  Shipping is determined by dimensional weight, meaning that the main indicator of shipping cost is size.  For chess boards, the boxes required are large enough that the shipping costs are much higher than the true weight.  Additionally, UPS charges fees for residential and extended delivery.  We have no choice but to pass these costs on - we do not profit from any shipping costs.  If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to let us know.
