Vintage Höfner 456s Archtop. A very interesting instrument because of it's vintage sound and looks, take for example the beautifully adorned headstock. The body has been crafted out of flamed maple, matched to a spruce top bound together by means of a multi-ply binding. Also features a 5-piece maple/mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. Offers a pristine clean and dry sound perfectly suited for those old. jazzy rhythm pieces. Plays lovely, has been setup with a low action.
Condition is excellent, body is near perfect but has had a refinish, fretboard and frets have also been redone. Finally a great sounding Beneditti pickup has been fitted in the neck position. Includes period correct hardshell case.
