I've enjoyed this set greatly, as much for its WWII history as anything else. It was owned by a pilot on the Doolittle raid over Tokyo. They had little reason to believe in a safe return. Not all of them did. Some were captured and executed. One starved in a Japanese pow camp. All heroes. While this has little to do with the Tokyo raid, he, survived to buy this set. I took it out of his cabinet....pieces are 4" tall except the conductor, which is 4-3/4 tall. All are minty down to the gold trim. The conductors free hand/middle finger, seems a bit wonky, no other hands to compare it with, and nothing was held. My vote would be trauma at some point, maybe factory, maybe not. This postcard was with it depicting kaendler's original Meissen set, one of the most iconic and famous of German quality porcelain
