Overall, this reel is in very good condition but does show spots on the finish. The reel, being of nickel silver, can be left this way - or, use some elbow grease and some metal cleaner to shine it up. Up to you. Operationally, everything works - including the clicker and the free spool - spins very nicely! These reels were produced for only a few years, from about 1926 until 1931 or so - and were Shakespeare's answer to a quality yet affordable salt water reel. The No. 2212 held 200 yards of "No. 9" line.
