VINTAGE 1930s/1940s ALPHA FARNELL CLOTH SPANISH DOLL

This lovely vintage doll dates from approx. the 1930s/40s. He was made by Alpha Farnell and retains his original bue and white label sewn into one foot. He is of a large size. He has a pressed felt head and a cloth body with felt hands and feet. He has black painted eyes and a painted mouth. He is wearing a traditional dress costume that is very Spanish in style, and retains his black felt hat and hoop earrings. He has a blue ribbon sash around his waist with red tassles - we are unsure whether this is original or not.

Condition: Overall in fair to good condition, with some playwear consistent with age and use. He is overall very grubby and faded and would benefit from a careful clean. He face is overall dirty and has a few scuff marks. His hat is squashed and would benefit from being re-shaped. There is some wear to his eye painting, and there is a small hole at the top of one of his eyes. His clothing and cloth body is overall faded, worn and discoloured. His white shirt is very dirty. There is some holing and some signs of re-stitching to the back of his body. There is some wear and fraying to his braiding. There is some loss to some of the felt flowers on his trousers.
