Leitz Wetzlar Leica 11776 Summilux-R 1:1.4/50 (50mm F1.4 f/1.4) - modified for Nikon reflex cameras, both film based and digital - boxed.

Due to the difference in register, Leica R lenses cannot be used on Nikon cameras with an adapter. In order to use one, you  need to modify the lens removing the Leica R flange (and cam) and replace it with a Nikon flange. This lens can now be used on Nikon cameras and, with an adapter (from Nikon to your kind of camera) it can be used with almost all modern digital cameras.

BEWARE : because of this modification and because the original Leica R flange and cam were removed and never returned by the photo repair lab that made the modification, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THIS LENS ON ANY CAMERA BODY ACCEPTING LEICA R lenses.

The front cover is the original one, the back one is, of course, a Nikon compatible (taken from a Sigma lens). It comes with the original box and paperwork.

The barrel shows minor signs of use. The focusing is smooth. The lenses show no signs of oil nor fungus but, if carefully observed pointing a bright source of light, it is possible to spot a few specks of microdust and imperfections on the front lens' coating, something to be expected on a used lens. They will not affect the quality of the pictures you take. The aperture diaphragm mechanism is very smooth, almost continuous (meaning, no clicks going from one aperture to the next and almost no jump you can feel with your hand).
