A lovely hand carved picture frame. Very unusual with the multiple windows and could well have been for cigarette cards. The frame is English and dates from 1900-1910. The frame has a sliding back panel so the pictures can be inserted, the wire hook has to be unscrewed to do this. The frame has a few small repairs and a small piece missing (see close up photo). The wood where carved is quite thin and delicate so care should be used when handling and inserting pictures. It measures 49.2cms long, 25.4cms tall the picture windows are 3.5cms wide and 4.7cms tall. 19 3/8 inches long, 10 inches tall the picture windows are 1 3/8 inches wide and 1 7/8 inches tall.
