An original vintage Swiss Tropic 18mm watch strap with standard gold tone buckle.

This band was supplied as standard equipment on a variety of HEUER wristwatches back in the olden days.

As the listing shows in image 1** this particular Tropic variant was supplied as original equipment on a variety of HEUER watches back in the olden days.  The image is purely displayed as an example/to ratify the listing.

For those of you who are new to Tropic watch straps please note they are NOT branded HEUER in any way. Tropic bands had enough kudos to 'stand alone' as a brand therefore they were left branded 'as is' with the original Tropic branding.

This was the same for the Tropic bands supplied to Breitling, Omega and a wide variety of other luxury Swiss watch manufacturers. You will note the vintage ad mentions/confirms the Tropic brand name as the strap supplier.

This is a fantastic way to upgrade/add value to ANY vintage HEUER; I could never understand why anyone would want to put a made in China watch band on a Swiss watch; a Swiss made band adds authenticity to any Swiss made watch - it completes the piece nicely.

Condition is as pictured (NEW). I cannot notice any defects myself but I would rather encourage the buyer to study the images I have posted and make up their own mind regarding the condition; although the strap is new it has been in storage for over 40 years and as a consequence probably need a wipe down/polish at the buckle end.  

Common sense dictates that the buckle may display slight storage marks/pitting/surface scratches after all those years in storage.

If you want this strap I urge you to purchase. It's not like fresh stock is coming off the production line to meet demand. Grab them whilst they are available.

I will state this once more for those in the back - the strap is branded 'TROPIC',  the buckle has no branding.

Beware the many many copies of these for sale on eBay right now. They are only TROPIC BANDS if it STATES TROPIC on the band otherwise they are likely made in China/Hong Kong (or even Canada) and distributed by a company called 'Stylecraft' .

Always look at the images closely for the correct markings when considering purchase.  Many eBayers call similar bands TROPIC even if they are not actually Swiss made TROPIC bands.
