The Abu Cardinal 55 was years ahead of its time and ruled the land before Shimano, the main difference being the development of the bait runner facility. These reels were a classic design & managed to maintain their looks through Swedish engineering & superb quality at the time of manufacture. They are famous today because of their robust nature, parts quality & excellent clutches which easily manage fish such as Barbel, Chub & Carp. They also have large spools which can house 225 yards of 10lb line & various models are used by a number of top anglers in the UK. In EXCELLENT condition as you can see from the photos, this reel would be ideal for a collector / enthusiast / angler. These reels are top quality and will provide the winning bidder with years and years of use. This reel has a superbly smooth, quiet action and when handle is turned, spins effortlessly up to 20'times! Superb engineering, works like new.
The spool is in good condition, has been oiled and cleaned with slight wear to graphic on the front (Cardinal) and some fading on the side all captured on the photos. Will fit ABU Cardinal 55 /155 and ABU Garcia 55 / 155
