Heavily potted "aka-e" Kutani porcelain plate decorated in polychrome enamel and gilt highlights with three fan and shell form cartouches.  One features a landscape scene, the second has white birds executed in moriage flying above pines, and the third contains two nobles.  The vignettes are set against a cloud patterned background with gilt highlights.  The back is decorated around the circumference with a pine and cherry blossom motif.  It is marked in kanji in overglaze rust-red "Kutani Doi made."  Dates from the late Meiji to early Taisho period (circa 1900 - 1915).  9 1/8" diameter by 1 5/8"H.  Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks.  There is some rubbing to the overglaze pigments.
