this is a  rare find a beautiful antique hanging converted oil lamp from the early 20th century with opaline glass shade

antique lighting is definitely not my strong point but have tried to research them a little, this probably dates to between 1910-1920 i believe the metal frame  is spelter as it seems far to light to be made of cast iron this has all been coloured / painted black they have the original white glass shade and are adjustable in height with the traditional rise and fall pulley system.

the overall condition seems very good for a pair of antique lights, there is no damage to the glass all the pieces seem to be intact and in order and the rise and fall pulleys operate well.

please note these are antique and will show signs or wear the odd ding etc but overall very good

this has been converted to electricity at some point though the wiring does look very old and would need to be replaced by a qualified electrician, or could be restored back to oil lamp without too much fuss

The wick winder read the maker's name Diamond. These have quite a drop on them so would need a high ceiling or to be hung in the corner of a room

perfect to add a little period decor

i will pack the shade into separate boxes to avoid any damages in transit
