I purchased this piece from an antique dealer in Chiang Mai, Thailand In1993.  It is carved out of teak wood, lacquered, and gilded and inlayed with tiny mirrors or glass.  The sculpture is in the form of four nagas( a mythical serpent with magical protective powers and frequently depicted in the art of Southeast Asia).  The artifact is without repairs and the overall condition is excellent.  Not sure of the age.  Probably served as a temple ornament.  It is a very exotic and beautiful piece of Southeast Asian art.  Height: 20"  Height on stand: 22"  Width: 14.5"
